Houston Nannies

Privacy Policy

Effective July 15, 2026

Who we are

HoustoNanny LLC ("Houston Nannies", "we") is a nanny placement agency serving Greater Houston, Texas. This policy describes what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to admin@houston-nannies.com or 713-568-6846.

What we collect

  • Nanny applications. When you submit the express-interest form on our for-nannies page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, city, childcare experience, and confirmation that you are over 18.
  • Family inquiries. When you use the find-a-nanny form, we collect your email, then your name, phone number, city/area, the schedule you need, your start timeframe, and how you heard about us. We also log basic technical data (IP address and browser user-agent) with each submission to help prevent spam.
  • Direct contact. If you call, email, or book a consultation, we receive the information you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, and what kind of care you're looking for.
  • Placement details. Families and candidates who move forward in our process share additional information (schedules, preferences, references) with us directly, outside this website.

We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we do not sell personal information.

How we use it

  • To respond to inquiries and evaluate nanny applications.
  • To match families with caregivers — the core of our service.
  • To run screening (background checks, reference verification) for candidates who advance, with the candidate's knowledge and authorization.

Who else is involved

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website, stores form submissions in our database, and provides the Turnstile spam-protection check on our forms.
  • Resend delivers nanny-application and family-inquiry form submissions to our staff email.
  • Google provides our consultation booking scheduler (embedded on the find-a-nanny page), the service-area map, and form tools used later in the application process. The scheduler is served by Google and governed by Google's own privacy policy.
  • Background screening providers conduct checks on candidates who advance, with authorization.

Analytics and cookies

We use analytics to understand how visitors use this site so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell personal information.

  • PostHog records pageviews and on-page interactions without cookies. Session state lives only in your current browser tab, and anything you type into a form is masked and is not captured.
  • Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) measures overall traffic and usage: pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and device and browser type. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<id>, which expire after up to two years and let it tell one visitor from another. This data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices. Both tools honor the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings.

Retention and your choices

We keep application and inquiry information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — email admin@houston-nannies.com and we'll take care of it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new effective date.
