Childcare that fits your family

Whatever kind of care your family needs in Houston, we'll match you with the right person — not a profile from an app, but a vetted caregiver chosen for your household. Houston Nannies is a boutique agency, so Macy personally runs every search and knows every caregiver on our roster.

Most families come to us for one of four things: a long-term nanny, specialized newborn and night care, occasional babysitting, or part-time mother's helper support. Whichever you need, the vetting is the same — and if you're not sure which fits, that's exactly what the consultation call is for.

Which service is right for you?

The right fit usually comes down to how often you need care and how old your children are.

  • Need consistent weekday care? A full-time or part-time nanny placement gives you one dedicated caregiver who learns your routines and grows with your family.
  • Welcoming a new baby? Newborn and night nanny care brings in a specialist for those first exhausting months — including overnight support so you can sleep.
  • Just need a night out or occasional coverage? Babysitting connects you with trusted, vetted sitters for date nights, events, and last-minute needs.
  • Home with your kids but need an extra set of hands? A mother's helper supports you while you're there — ideal for new parents, twins, or busy afternoons.

Not sure where you land? Tell us your schedule on the consultation call and we'll point you to the right option — sometimes a recurring babysitting need is really a part-time placement waiting to happen.

The same vetting behind every service

No matter which service you choose, every caregiver clears the same multi-layer screening before they meet your family: multi-state criminal background checks, phone-verified references, and review of certifications like CPR and First Aid. That standard doesn't flex for occasional care — a date-night sitter is vetted exactly like a full-time nanny.

Placement fees are flat and transparent: $2,500 for a full-time nanny and $1,500 for part-time, with a $300 search fee to begin. Every placement is backed by a 90-day free replacement guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a nanny and a mother's helper?

A nanny cares for your children independently, usually while you are away at work. A mother’s helper supports you while you are home — handy for new parents, multiples, or busy stretches of the day. If you are not sure which you need, we will help you decide on the consultation call.

Do you offer occasional or one-time care, or only full-time placements?

Both. Alongside full-time and part-time nanny placements, we offer flexible babysitting for date nights, events, and last-minute needs — with the same vetted caregivers.

Are caregivers across all your services background checked?

Yes. Every caregiver — a full-time nanny or an occasional sitter — clears the same multi-layer screening: criminal background checks, reference verification, and certification review.

How much do your services cost?

Nanny placements carry flat fees of $2,500 (full-time) or $1,500 (part-time) plus a $300 search fee, and Houston nannies themselves typically earn $20–$30 per hour. Babysitting and mother’s helper arrangements are quoted to your needs. See our Houston nanny cost guide for a full breakdown.
